International Peace Walk Towards a Nuclear Free Future
London to Geneva through France

This is an opportunity for all people to come together in a non-violent, spiritually motivated action to end the nuclear industry and reclaim the future.
This walk has been organized in partnership with

Run for Freedom

Since 1997 the Run for Freedom has been running and walking great distances to different Communities through out the United States. Carrying the story of Leonard Peltier in the hope of raising awareness of his case.

Nuclear Free Future

The Gaseous Diffusion Plant, located near Portsmouth, Ohio, this plant began operations in 1954 as part of a U.S. government expansion program for the production of highly enriched uranium to fuel military reactors, nuclear weapons production and for use at the Y-12 plant in Oakridge TN.

September 13th
Prisoners Of Conscience Event

Every year at the Close the SOA event organized by the SOA Watch groups of individuals will cross the federal line in an act of Civil Disobedient and risk anywhere from 3 to 6 month some time longer prison sentences. One of the prisons were they send people to is in Lexington Kentucky were this years event will take place.

November 8th - 16th
9th Annual Peace Pilgrimage to Close the SOA

The School of the Americas (SOA), in 2001 renamed the “Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation,” is a combat training school for Latin American soldiers, located at Fort Benning, Georgia. Initially established in Panama in 1946, it was kicked out of that country in 1984 under the terms of the Panama Canal Treaty.


Global Citizens Demand UN Action on Weapons of Mass Destruction

 

As citizens of the world we have become disillusioned by the United Nations inability to move forward the negotiations that are needed to create a Nuclear Free World.
It is time for the United Nations to take a stand and create and enforce an agenda that will stop the new build up of Nuclear Weapons throughout the World.
