Earth Day Event

April 24 2006

This years Earth Day run was a week later than the government recognized holiday but I figure everyday should be Earth Day and should be celebrated.

Some of us hade just completed the the
Sacred Run 2006 the weekend before.

Now after a week of rest we gather at our traditional starting point
Chief Little Turtle Statue in Covington KY on the Ohio river to run, pray and celebrate the earth. Our destination is East Fork Lake State Park in Batavia Ohio.

It was a great day and it was good being home and doing a run. Jon started us off for the day he had to leave early so we droped off his car at his stop point so he could just leave when he finished his run. The rest of us continued on to East Fork lake state park.

I finished my run around noon jumped in my car where it was left for me and drove forward and caught up to Larry around a 1/2 mile away from the turn off to the lake.

We followed each other untile we caught up to my Dad John who was almost at his stop point.I took over from here and finished it up for the day.

I can't think of a better way to celebrate Earth Day than with friends, family and carrying the message that All Life Is Sacred.
