GLOBAL PETITION FOR
NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT As part of our ongoing efforts to create a nuclear free future we are collecting signatures for the 2010 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. This petition will demand the member states of the United Nations take serious action towards nuclear disarmament throughout the world. As global citizens concerned about the future we encourage you to download a copy of the petition from our web page and help circulate this serious demand. We will be walking to the United Nations in 2010 to deliver all signatures. In 2005 we organised a Peace Walk from the Y-12 nuclear weapons facility in Oakridge Tennessee to the United Nations in New York for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review (NPT). This review of the NPT happens every five years and with nothing accomplished after weeks (and decades) of discussions we are committed to doing the walk again in 2010. With changing circumstances around the world, we believe there is now an urgent need for global action to end the cycle of mass destruction caused by the nuclear industry. In 2007 FootPrints for Peace will begin the first of many walks leading up to the next NPT review conference in 2010. With your support and commitment we will work together to empower and inspire people on a global scale to demand action from the United Nations at the next NPT review. Check out our web page to see if we are walking anywhere near you. Please join us on the walk if you have the time and opportunity to do so or Download our petition and encourage as many people as possible to sign it, send it to us and we will deliver all of your voices to the United Nations in 2010.
